Sanitization Weekend

Some people may be confused about the sanitization comments so I thought I would clarify. This last weekend I took a 15 hour class to get my Illinos sanitation manager certification (It's required for my major). Basically I learned all of the "no no's" that can be done with stuff involved in cooking. And there are a lot. Did you know that if you cook something with tin foil, it could release fumes and chemicals that will get absorbed into your food? I didn't. I also learned about the dangers of cross-contamination, e-coli, salmonella, and a whole lot more about bacteria.... I could go on forever. Anyways, we took a big test and will find out our results in about a month. If I passed then I'll get a certificate and could make a pretty decent living being a sanitation manager at a restaraunt, but I think I'll pass. There wasn't really anything to take pictures of but here.

The amount of time you should spend washing your hands is about 20 seconds (That's singing the birthday song two times in a row).

First Grade

Well everybody I got my first grade as a sophomore here at the good old EIU and it's an A!!! Granted it's an A- but still!

This may be my new favorite subject. It's a literature class and we read plays and analyze them and our first one is a Midsummer Night's Dream, (Shakespeare is one of my favs!)

Finally Done!

Today I took my last final and I am now officially done with my freshman year! I celebrated by helping my friend load her car and then going to get crepes. I can't believe the year is over! It flew by so fast. I'm excited to say goodbye to the U and to open a new chapter in my life. These next few years are going to be fun. haha

Last night I went rock climbing with my friends Colby, Connor, and Damien. We went to the Quarry in Provo and had a blast. I haven't gone rock climbing that often, but it's so much fun and I think I'm going to make it a hobby of mine.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

Last night I went on a date to the Alvin Aliey American Dance Theater. It's an incredibly talented dance company that's currently on tour. They performed three different sets of music and each one was so entertaining to watch. These dancers are amazing with their abilities, it made me want to start taking dance classes again. If they stop in your city you should definitely attend. I highly reccommend it!
