An Osmond Extravaganza

Kelly surprised our family with this hilarious video. I've never been exposed to the entire Osmond Clan before and I don't know if I ever will again. This movie was too funny! I laughed so hard that I cried and I'm postive that Jimmy is supposed to be a girl. Mom's favorite was the Osmond wives and we noticed that Wayne's wife was the only brunette in a sea of blondes. I particularly liked how Debbie's bouncing 'do' and that she's, "Once, twice, three times a Lady."

Let it Snow!!!

Today we woke up to a genuine Winter Wonderland. It had snowed all night and we got at least a good foot of beautiful, white, snow. It was our friend Alexis's birthday so to celebrate we went to lunch at Cheesecake and walked around the mall. I still can't believe that people actually live in this weather.
Hey, I just made a total elf of myself. Check it out by clicking the link below.

Visiting the Grandparents

Yesterday I visited Grandma and Grandpa Burdett in Ogden. I brought my roommate Jordan and my friend Alexis with me so that I wouldn't be outnumbered. Grandma and Grandpa were on their best behavior which was a relief and we ate at our favorite place.... RAINBOW GARDENS!!!! haha I swear every time we go to visit them we go to that place. As a souvenir grandpa bought me a poinsettia to decorate my dorm for Christmas. All in all I think the visit was a success.

Dorm Room Mishaps

When I came back to my dorm last night I found all of our furniture pushed to one side of the room and a huge water stain on my floor. I ran over to my suit mate's room and she told me that our toilet had exploded. It flooded the bathroom and both of our rooms. Thankfully nothing got permanently damaged and it was just water and not anything gross. This is yet another reason why we want to get out of here.

My friends and I are in the process of buying an apartment and we were discussing how we're going to decorate it. I mentioned that we should go to Ikea to get some ideas and none of them had ever heard of it! So yesterday we decided to take a trip there. It's probably the most amazing furniture store I've ever been in. We got so many good ideas, so our apartment is going to be adorable! Everybody should take the chance and visit this store. It's definitely worth it!

SNOW?!?!?!

Yesterday during our Homecoming game against Utah State, We had an unexpected surprise.... SNOW!!!
It's September and it's already snowing. It's insane!! All of the people from Vegas were so amazed and we spent the entire day taking pictures in the snow. All of the Utah natives were making fun of us, but can you blame us?? We never get this back at home.

This weekend was a lot of fun because I got to go on two great dates with two really nice guys. On Friday I went to a Jack's Mannequin concert with my friend Steve who's from Atlanta. He's in two of my roomate's classes and she invited to to eat lunch with us so that's how we met. I didn't really know any of the bands that were playing but they were all really talented and fun to watch.
On Saturday my good friend Tyson took me to the state fair. It was a group date and he along with his friends that were there all go to Byu so I got to tease them a little bit about how Utah beat UCLA yesterday (44 to 6 in case you were wondering). We went on a ton of rides and all of them were either really really fast, or they spun around a lot and I was really surprised that no one got sick. I had so much fun with both of these boys so it definitely was a very good weekend.

Adventure to the Great Salt Lake

Yesterday my friend Taylor and I had a free afternoon with no homework and no plans so we decided to go see the Great Salt Lake. Both of us had been deprived in our childhoods of ever seeing it and we thought since we were living in a city named after it we might as well see what it looked like. It took us almost an hour to get there because we had absolutely no idea where it was. We got off on a road called Satlair and pulled up to a place that looked like the Sultan's palace. It was really run down and I don't know the last time people had actually gone there. We decided that is was the perfect set for a horror movie and got out of there. Then we pulled up to the marina and got out to behold the Great Salt Lake. It reeked, It was all one color, and no one was in it. We took a picture and got back in the car and left.

Hello everybody! Sorry that I've been slacking on the blog, time is going by so fast, and I can't believe that I've been here for 3 weeks already. Well my weekend was kept pretty busy with so much fun stuff. There's a club called area 51 and on Thursdays it has 80's nite so my Vegas girls and I dressed up and met up with some friends and we went dancing. It was packed but so much fun! It'll definitely be a tradition for us. On Friday we went up to Park City and had dinner at pizza and noodles, their pizza and garlic bread are AMAZING!! Saturday was the football game and I joined the Muss (the student fan club) and we had seats in the 12th row which was so nice. Our team hung in there for the first half, but without our quarterback we didn't really have a chance. After the game we drove to Provo and had dinner with some friends and hit up a few parties. I'm super exhausted but it was definitely worth it

Monday

So I'm very new to this and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right, so if someone would like to help me out and maybe teach me some tips that would be fantastic! Well this is my second week of being a college student and it has definitely been an adventure. My classes consist of Ballet, Nutrition, Writing 2010, Creative Writing, Yoga, and Pearl of Great Price. It's a little hectic but I'm loving every minute of it! My roommate is the best and a clean freak which is a bonus! There's two other girls from Vegas that went to my highschool so the four of us have been hanging out which has been great! I went to my ward for the first time and it's pretty much all returned missionaries so I'm kind of hesitant, but the bishop is wonderful and I'm hoping to get a calling soon so I'm excited for that.
